Rambling Friday: October means...

Explosions!

With leaves, of course!

Colored leaves, hundreds--no, thousands, millions of them!
Red, green, yellow, orange and brown.
Fluttering in the wind, floating to the ground.
Crackling in our ears.
Made just for kids--and grownup kids, too, to jump in, play in, walk in.
Crunching under our feet.
Assaulting our noses with fall-ish smells.
Scenting the air with smoky scents.
Cushioning our bodies and outstretched arms as we gaze into the blue, blue skies of Autumn.
